COVID 19 DOJ ISSUES
To our Highly Valued Customers who are keeping the 2nd Amendment alive in California,
Please read this entire message carefully.
We sincerely hope that you and your families are staying safe and healthy during this unprecedented National emergency. Unfortunately, and with apologies, we have been informed that we are currently in a restricted status with the Department of Justice (“DOJ”) Firearm System, and therefore cannot sell, release, or cancel any firearm transactions. Rest assured, we have been working tirelessly with the DOJ in an effort to get back up and running as soon as possible. As you might expect during this unprecedented time, all Government agencies are working, if at all, with minimal staff. Nonetheless, we have repeatedly been assured by the DOJ that we WILL be reinstated, though they have not been able to give us a date, given the lack of resources that they currently have available. We also have plans in motion with the ATF and DOJ that may help us get up and running sooner rather than later.
We will be contacting everyone with a firearm on hold, in order to update you personally, over the next several days as time permits.
Note: If you purchased a handgun from us over that has not yet been released to you, you must wait at least 31 days from your date of purchase from us, in order to purchase a handgun elsewhere OR YOU WILL BE REJECTED. Unfortunately, because we cannot access the DOJ website, we cannot cancel your DROS, and the DOJ system will think you are purchasing more than one handgun in a 30 day period which is prohibited by State law. Again - do not by a handgun at another location until after your 30 day period is over, or you will be rejected.
We appreciate that this was not the information that you were expecting, nor was it the information we wanted to provide to you. While we continue to work on getting this issue resolved as soon as possible, in the interim, we will be calling you and responding to e-mails as much as possible.
We will be closed until April 15 unless we get reinstated before that time. Once reinstated, we will be serving customers by appointment only. We will contact you to make appointments. We are truly sorry for this unfortunate situation, and we very much appreciate your understanding, cooperation and support.
